Thomas Sinden were appointed via the Procure Partnerships Framework to deliver works for The Grantham Practice, involving the remodelling and repurposing of a former office building into a fully compliant GP surgery.
The project created a modern healthcare facility comprising 11 consulting rooms, administrative areas, and support spaces, all designed and constructed in accordance with current HBN and HTM standards.
Located on the corner of Clapham Road and Lingham Street in Stockwell, the site posed logistical constraints, which were effectively managed throughout the project.
Scope of Works
– Complete internal strip-out and reconfiguration
– Installation of new M&E services to HBN/HTM compliance
– Construction of 11 consulting rooms and associated accommodation
– Replacement of selected windows and external fascias
– Installation of ground floor cladding
– Replacement of ground floor entrance doors
– Internal joinery including feature walls and ceilings
– Installation of new A/C and an air source heat pump unit, including screening to the external plant area
This scheme enabled The Grantham Practice to successfully relocate from its previous premises and now offers modern, accessible healthcare provision for the local community in Lambeth. The new premises provide significantly improved access for patients, with most consulting rooms located on the ground floor. The layout and enhanced facilities also support greater community engagement and improved service delivery.
