Thames Valley Housing Association have appointed Thomas Sinden to deliver a £6.3m affordable housing scheme at Queens Road in Twickenham.

Queens House is a nine storey 1960’s office block with adjacent gatehouse.  The project involves demolition of an existing two storey extension, reconfiguration of the gatehouse, and stripping back of the tower block to the structural frame to convert it into residential apartments with new external cladding.  A new infill block will be built to the rear of the site to complete the low rise street scene to Queens Road, with new access roads and landscaping.

The scheme will reinvigorate the area providing 45 much needed affordable, modern and high quality apartments.  29 homes will be available through TVHA on a shared ownership basis with the remaining 16 available through an affordable rent scheme.
