Thomas Sinden has been awarded the Hidden Homes Phase 6 works contract at Comber House, Comber Grove, SE5 and Pinner House, Coldharbour Lane, Camberwell, SE5 by Southwark Council following a mini competition from its Major Works Constructor Framework.
The work comprises the conversion of a redundant attic drying area within Comber House roof into six additional two-bedroom council flats and the conversion of part of the ground floor of Pinner House, which was built as a laundry, into a two-bedroom residential unit. These council flats form part of Southwark Council’s 11,000 new homes programme, the most ambitious council house building programme in the country.
Work has already started on the £1m project and will last 40 weeks. All of the homes will be built to the Council’s standards.

We have also been working closely with Southwark Council and the existing residents through a ‘meet the contractor’ event and newsletters to ensure they have been consulted on all aspects of the development.”
