Gainsborough’s House Museum Wins “Best in Class – International” at the USA Brick in Architecture Awards
We are incredibly proud to announce that Gainsborough’s House Museum, a project we had the privilege of building, has been awarded “Best in Class – International” at the Brick in Architecture Awards 2024, hosted by the Brick Industry Association (BIA) in the USA.
This prestigious recognition highlights not only the architectural excellence of the design by ZMMA Architects, but also the skill, craftsmanship, and dedication of our team in bringing this vision to life. The project seamlessly integrates a contemporary extension with the historic fabric of Thomas Gainsborough’s childhood home, using carefully crafted brickwork to create a striking yet sensitive addition to the site.
Winning “Best in Class” in a globally recognised USA-based competition reinforces the exceptional quality of this build, showcasing our expertise on an international stage. Since 1989, the BIA’s Brick in Architecture Awards have honoured the world’s most outstanding brickwork projects, and we are proud to have played a key role in delivering a scheme that has received such high acclaim.
A huge congratulations to our team, ZMMA, and everyone involved in this internationally recognised achievement.
