High-Quality Homes Delivered as Part of a Wider Regeneration Programme

Residents of Ravensbury Estate can now enjoy modern, high-quality, energy efficient homes following the successful completion of Phase 2 on behalf of Clarion Housing Group. The project delivered 54 new homes, including 23 houses and 31 apartments, as part of Clarion’s ambitious £1 billion Merton Regeneration Project, aimed at transforming the local area and supporting long-term community growth.

The new homes feature a mix of one, two, three, and four-bedroom properties, each designed with residents’ comfort and quality of life in mind. Every property includes a private outdoor space, either a garden, terrace, or balcony offering welcoming environments for families and individuals alike.

A key aspect of the project was the careful relocation of existing residents. Through a phased handover process, residents were gradually moved into their new homes, ensuring continuity, stability, and the preservation of the strong community spirit that defines Ravensbury Estate.

Overcoming Project Challenges

The project team successfully navigated several significant challenges, including:

  • Taking over and completing the scheme after the original contractor entered administration, while maintaining the highest standards of delivery

  • Working within a live and fully occupied housing estate, with clear and consistent communication to ensure residents’ needs remained a priority

  • Managing a sectional handover process to enable the smooth relocation of existing residents

Despite these complexities, the team worked collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality homes to an excellent standard.  This achievement reflects the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork of everyone involved in bringing Ravensbury Estate to completion.

Well done to all who contributed to the successful delivery of this important regeneration project.
