The Weldon Wellbeing Pavilion at Ebbsfleet Green has now been successfully handed over, delivering a high-quality community facility designed to support health, wellbeing and social interaction within this growing residential neighbourhood.
The two-storey, 1,000m² building brings together a range of uses under one roof, including a multi-use sports hall, gymnasium, managed reception, café and changing facilities. Designed with flexibility in mind, the space supports both structured activities and informal use, creating an accessible and welcoming environment for the local community.
Externally, the development is complemented by an FA-standard 3G pitch, tennis courts and new play areas, significantly enhancing the recreational offer within Ebbsfleet Green.
Located within a live residential setting, the works were carefully planned and programmed to minimise disruption to local residents and the nearby school.
Sustainability has been a key focus, with the pavilion targeting BREEAM Outstanding. The use of cross laminated timber (CLT) has reduced the building’s embodied carbon while contributing to improved energy performance and long-term operational efficiency.
This project represents a valuable addition to the community, providing a high-quality, sustainable facility that will support health and wellbeing for years to come.
