Thomas Sinden is pleased to announce the successful completion of a cladding remediation project in Central London, delivered one week ahead of schedule!

This project involved the removal and replacement of all combustible cladding elements on a fully occupied, eight-storey mixed-use building, now EWS1-compliant, ensuring the building meets the latest fire safety standards.

Located in a busy Central London location, the project required careful planning to minimise disruption to residents and businesses. With 50 residential units and two commercial units (Tesco and Nando’s) remaining occupied, the team worked closely with the building management company and store managers to coordinate noisy works, maintain safe customer access, and facilitate deliveries. Additionally, due to the building’s proximity to a rail network, a BAPA agreement was secured before works commenced.

Now complete, the building meets the latest fire safety standards, ensuring long-term safety and peace of mind for residents and businesses.

The project’s successful and timely completion was the result of strong collaboration with the client, consultants, and supply chain. We’re proud of the outcome and the positive impact these improvements will have for those living in the building.
