Creating high quality learning environments

Our experience spans schemes from classroom refurbishments and extensions to the complete design and build of new schools and colleges.  We place emphasis on provision of a service that represents value for money and meets the strict timescales of the academic year without compromising on quality.

Minimising disruption

Education projects often require that construction works are carried out whilst the site is occupied, requiring careful segregation and coordination to ensure that teaching is not unduly disrupted and that students are kept safe.  We establish good relationships with the headteacher and their staff as early as possible to minimise disruption to student learning.

Involving the students

Whilst on site we are happy to engage the students in learning about the construction industry.  For younger students this is often in the form of a talk delivered by our company mascot ‘Toolbox Tommy’, or for older students through site tours and careers talks, or participating in careers fairs.  We also run ‘Site Safety’ poster competitions to reinforce the importance of recognising the dangers posed by a construction site.

The whole team’s sensitive approach to working in school and understanding of the issues involved was outstanding.
