The Avondale Park Primary School extension project was primarily undertaken to merge St. Anne’s Nursery School with Avondale Park’s nursery provision.  Bringing these two schools together on a single site, was undertaken to enable the sharing of resources reducing both school’s running costs, whilst retaining each school’s identity.

Our works involved the demolition of an existing single storey building and the rebuild of a larger single storey extension, in addition to the refurbishment of some areas of the ground floor and the external playground of the existing building.

The new nursery extension consists of 4 new classrooms, a community hall, staff and pupil facilities and a new dedicated entrance lobby.

The Thomas Sinden team maintained close liaison with the school at all times to ensure that the works were carried out in as safe and un-disruptive manner as possible to ensure the school operations continued as usual during the works.

The new extension building was officially opened by HRH the Duchess of Gloucester and actor Colin Salmon.
