Thomas Sinden were appointed as Main Contractor to deliver a new commercial re-development scheme by Toynbee Hall an East London charity tackling poverty and social injustice.
Profumo House, an existing 3 storey building was demolished and a new office and community building created. The completed building comprises a 1200sqm five storey block of offices over basement, ground and 1st to 4th floors.
Located within the boundary of Grade II Listed Toynbee Hall, the new building, together with significant improvements to neighbouring open space, will enhance the charity’s physical and community presence in Aldgate on the edge of the City of London.
This is the second contract Thomas Sinden have successfully delivered for Toynbee Hall, having previously undertake the Restoration and expansion of Grade II Listed Toynbee Hall.
