Overview

We were appointed as Principal Contractor to undertake the construction of a Two Storey Steel framed new Performing Arts and Movement Development Centre at Linden Lodge SEN School.  Our Works included:-

  • Demolition / dismantling of existing sheds,
  • Alterations to existing hall and groundworks
  • New steel framed structure with brick and render cladding and a metal deck roof consisting of rooflights
  • Installation of new mechanical and electrical services,
  • General builders work and decoration
  • Installation of Trampolines sunken into the floor to provide easy transfer /movement from wheelchair to floor

Challenges

Linden Lodge School caters for children which are visually impaired and those with learning difficulties. The school remained fully operational throughout our works. Consequently, our management team had to take this fully into account in the planning of the works, especially our access into the site and segregation of the building site areas from the working school.
